We added 2 high quality photos from the 2012 photoshoot Olivia did with T Plitt for USA Today while she was promoting Butter last week. She looks incredible! Check them out in the Gallery!

Learning to pole dance was something of a bumpy grind for Olivia Wilde. She had less than two days to master the moves of a brassy, bawdy performer in Butter. But Wilde sashayed with aplomb, with the help of an instructor who specialized in striptease workouts.

“I was stuck in Austria under the volcanic ash cloud and I couldn’t get to Louisiana in time. I got there and they flew a trainer in from S Factor and she taught me at an actual strip club, called Action Central, and got me to the point where they offered me a job there. So if all else fails, you can find me at Action Central,” says Wilde, 28.

Olivia Wilde just keeps adding to her resume, releasing a sized-down messenger bag designed in partnership with Alternative Apparel. Sales of the limited-edition style, dubbed the “Message Bag,” will benefit the Academy for Peace and Justice in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. ELLE caught up with her at a release party that she attended in New York City on Monday night to talk summer fashion and guilty pleasures.

ELLE: Has the bag become a constant in your summer wardrobe?
Olivia Wilde: I’ve been carrying it a lot because it’s the perfect summer bag. It’s good for the beach and good for traveling—you can shove everything in there and it fits a lot more than it looks like it can. The collaboration came about because we were working with Artists for Peace and Justice in Haiti, which is a very hot place, and every time we were down there, we’d live in Alternative Apparel maxi dresses, short dresses, and tanks.

Missing House and Olivia Wilde’s Thirteen? You may find some solace in Olivia’s return to TV as an animated character in Disney XD’s Tron: Uprising. In the July 5 episode, she lends her voice to Quorra, the character she played in the 2010 movie Tron: Legacy.

Viewers will learn Paige (voiced by Emmanuelle Chriqui) once knew Quorra as a fugitive hiding in her hometown. The flashback scene occurs after Paige crashes on a remote island and reflects on her past. Once Upon a Time creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, who developed this series after writing Tron: Legacy, say characters from the film will be used sparingly.

“We’ll bring [them] in only when it’s important and will have a real impact,” says Adam. Plus, Edward confirms they are currently developing another big-screen Tron, in which Olivia would star.

It’s been nearly three years since director Spike Jonze’s last feature, the touching Where the Wild Things Are, but he’s lining up a stacked cast for his next project.  Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara, and Amy Adams are all onboard for the untitled film, and now comes word that Olivia Wilde has joined the cast as well.

The story centers on a man who falls in love with the voice of a computer device, presumably a Siri-like feature on an iPhone.  Buried in a Deadline article announcing the fact that Sony Pictures Worldwide has struck a deal with Megan Ellison’s Annapurna Pictures to distribute the film internationally is the addition of Wilde to the cast.  The actress herself then took to Twitter to confirm her involvement in the pic.

Wilde has a number of high profile and impressive projects on her upcoming slate.  She recently wrapped Ron Howard’s F-1 racing drama Rush with Chris Hemsworth and the comedy Burt Wonderstone with Jim Carrey, she’s set to star opposite Liam Neeson in Paul Haggis’ Third Person, and she’s in talks to join the stellar cast of Peter Bogdanovich’s upcoming comedy Squirrels to the Nuts.

“21 Jump Street” star Brie Larson, Owen Wilson and Olivia Wilde are attached to star in Peter Bogdanovich’s quirky indie comedy “Squirrels to the Nuts,” which will be produced by Wes Anderson and Noah Baumbach.

Jason Schwartzman has also been courted for the project, though he is not officially involved with the package at this time. Bogdanovich wrote the script, which follows a hooker-turned-Broadway-thesp (Larson) and the recurring intersection of those two facets of her life. Wilson will play a Broadway director who pays for the young protag’s services despite being married to the star of the play. He later gives Larson’s character money to quit escorting and follow her dreams. Wilde will play a therapist whose own mother is in rehab for alcholism. UTA is packaging the project, for which producers are in the process of finding both financing and distribution in advance of a fall start.

Wilson is an Anderson mainstay, having appeared in five of the helmer’s films. Coming off an acclaimed turn in Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris,” Wilson is currently filming Matthew Weiner’s “You Are Here” before he reteams with his “Wedding Crashers” co-star Vince Vaughn for Shawn Levy’s 20th Century Fox comedy “The Internship.”
Larson and Wilde are preparing to play sisters in the indie comedy “Relanxious.” Wilde, who will soon be seen in DreamWorks’ drama “People Like Us” and CBS Films’ Sundance pickup “The Words,” has been extremely busy of late, having recently wrapped Ron Howard’s racing pic “Rush” and New Line’s comedy “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.”

As we already knew, Olivia and Liam Neeson are attached to star in Third Person. The pair have been confirmed for Paul Haggis’s film from Belgian company Corsan. Olivia will appear as a party reporter and Neeson as her lover in the film spotlighting three interconnected stories set in New York, Rome and Paris. Here’s more about the movie.

The Paris section chronicles an on/off affair between a frustrated writer and a woman – who is also in a sexual relationship with her father. In New York, a woman fights against attempted murder charges against her son in a custody case. And in Rome, an American businessman falls for an Italian woman and must help free her daughter who has been kidnapped by a local gangster. Paul Breuls is producing with Haggis and Michael Nozik. Haggis wrote the script. He’s repped by CAA, and that agency packaged the film and is handling domestic distribution.

As of now, we learned from Neeson’s interview with The Press Association that as far as he knew, his character is a writer trying to get over a tragic death and Olivia’s character is his lover, so our thought obviously leans towards the frustrated writer’s affair with the troubled woman storyline evolving in Paris, France. We also learned, however, that Olivia’s character is a party reporter based in New York according to Vulture‘s quick interview with Paul Haggis, which immediately forwards us to the story of a woman fighting against attempted murder charges against her son in a custody case. In that case scenario, we wonder, where would the party reporting and love affair with Neeson’s character fit in? Will there be two writers, one based in Paris and the other one in New York? Are the locations in the details provided by Deadline somewhat mixed up? We’ll have to wait and find out.

We added a new episode still of Olivia from the first of the last two episodes of House entitled 8×21 Holding on. Below more info about the episode and Thirteen’s return to Princeton Plainsboro.
Thirteen will stop by Princeton Plainsboro a week before “House M.D.” bids farewell. Sporting lighter locks, Olivia returns to reprise her role as the Huntington’s disease-stricken doctor. “The prodigal daughter returns,” she says in a preview for the upcoming episode.

In “Holding On” that will air Monday, May 14 at 9/8c on FOX, House and his team take on the case of Derrick (guest star Skylar Astin), a 19-year-old college student who had a mysterious nose bleed during cheerleading practice. It’s later discovered that his health issues are likely both physiological and psychological.  Possibly suffering from schizophrenia, Derrick claims to hear his deceased brother’s voice in his head. Getting emotional, House takes an extreme way to make his patient stay alive. Meanwhile, Foreman tries a different approach with the brilliant doctor.

When Olivia Wilde comes into the studio, and sits down, her light-green cat’s eyes settle on you with a steady gaze and a mix of curiosity, intelligence, and sensuality. When she speaks about the people of Haiti, her face flushes with tenderness. Her voice is low, measured, and always just a moment away from a throaty laugh. She goes to Haiti often, despite its current cholera epidemic, and is planning another trip shortly after our talk.

Olivia’s career is in a thrilling “Wilde brush fire” phase. After roles on The O.C. and The Black Donellys, she was chosen to play the character nicknamed “13″ on HOUSE, opposite Hugh Laurie, starred in Cowboys & Aliens with Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford, TRON: Legacy with Jeff Bridges and Michael Sheen, and currently has six films in post-production. Wilde truly loves Haiti, believes in the cause she speaks for and lends her whole self, not just, as many celebrities do, her name. Her beauty is complete, both inner and outer.

James Franco is once again reeling in the big guns for a film that he’s working on with his NYU class. Thanks to recent casting calls, we now know that Olivia Wilde, Chloe Sevigny, Logan Marshall-Green, Whoopi Goldberg and Vince Jolivette will be joining Franco in his next film, Black Dog, Red Dog.  Furthermore, The Mercury Report is reporting Tim Blake Nelson, who stared in Franco’s Child Of God, will also be in the film.

Black Dog, Red Dog is based on poet Stephen Dobyns’ book that focuses on his life from the 1950′s to 1980′s. The film will be feature length though it will be made up of a series of short films directed by Franco’s students. Franco made a similar film last year about the life of C.K. Williams based on his book Tar, in which Franco starred alongside Jessica Chastain, Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis, Whoopi Goldbergh, Zach Braff, Bruce Campbell and Henry Hopper.Black Dog, Red Dog is currently filming in New York until the end of the month and both Black Dog, Red Dog and Tar are expected to be released later this year.

Since 2009, when I first started traveling to Haiti, I have had more than a few glimpses into the gruesome effects of poverty. The first time I walked through the halls of the general hospital in downtown Port au Prince, I stopped short of knocking into a cart of dead children, recognizable by the tiny hands sticking out from under a sheet the size of a newspaper. I have handed out bags of government-issued rice to a roaring crowd of hungry refugees, surging in a swell of anger and despair. I’ve loaded bodies, sometimes four at a time, into body bags as part of an effort to provide a proper burial to carcasses rotting in the hot, nightmarish city morgue.

By far the most infuriating tragedy I have witnessed in Haiti is a child succumbing to cholera after a sudden and merciless sickness that wrings the body of fluids and, eventually, life itself. I am branded by this memory. The little girl (I can only guess she was three, small for her age like most kids here) was one of 500,000 sick from a disease raging through the country like wildfire. Volunteer doctors, on yet another 24-hour shift, scrambled to drill holes in her bones, her veins too collapsed to accept IVs. As she wailed in agony, I looked down at my sneakers, which I will dip in chlorine on my way out of the tent where she will die, and cursed the capacity for human stupidity that allowed this to happen to this child, as beautiful and fragile and trusting as Haiti herself.
