We added 2 high quality photos from the 2012 photoshoot Olivia did with T Plitt for USA Today while she was promoting Butter last week. She looks incredible! Check them out in the Gallery!

Learning to pole dance was something of a bumpy grind for Olivia Wilde. She had less than two days to master the moves of a brassy, bawdy performer in Butter. But Wilde sashayed with aplomb, with the help of an instructor who specialized in striptease workouts.

“I was stuck in Austria under the volcanic ash cloud and I couldn’t get to Louisiana in time. I got there and they flew a trainer in from S Factor and she taught me at an actual strip club, called Action Central, and got me to the point where they offered me a job there. So if all else fails, you can find me at Action Central,” says Wilde, 28.

We added the first poster from the upcoming movie Deadfall that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival back in April. It looks great, but since the story is about two sibling fugitives, and Olivia is one of them, we expected her to be placed in front of Charlie Hunnam’s character, not behind, half-faced. Check it out!

Missing House and Olivia Wilde’s Thirteen? You may find some solace in Olivia’s return to TV as an animated character in Disney XD’s Tron: Uprising. In the July 5 episode, she lends her voice to Quorra, the character she played in the 2010 movie Tron: Legacy.

Viewers will learn Paige (voiced by Emmanuelle Chriqui) once knew Quorra as a fugitive hiding in her hometown. The flashback scene occurs after Paige crashes on a remote island and reflects on her past. Once Upon a Time creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, who developed this series after writing Tron: Legacy, say characters from the film will be used sparingly.

“We’ll bring [them] in only when it’s important and will have a real impact,” says Adam. Plus, Edward confirms they are currently developing another big-screen Tron, in which Olivia would star.

It’s been nearly three years since director Spike Jonze’s last feature, the touching Where the Wild Things Are, but he’s lining up a stacked cast for his next project.  Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara, and Amy Adams are all onboard for the untitled film, and now comes word that Olivia Wilde has joined the cast as well.

The story centers on a man who falls in love with the voice of a computer device, presumably a Siri-like feature on an iPhone.  Buried in a Deadline article announcing the fact that Sony Pictures Worldwide has struck a deal with Megan Ellison’s Annapurna Pictures to distribute the film internationally is the addition of Wilde to the cast.  The actress herself then took to Twitter to confirm her involvement in the pic.

Wilde has a number of high profile and impressive projects on her upcoming slate.  She recently wrapped Ron Howard’s F-1 racing drama Rush with Chris Hemsworth and the comedy Burt Wonderstone with Jim Carrey, she’s set to star opposite Liam Neeson in Paul Haggis’ Third Person, and she’s in talks to join the stellar cast of Peter Bogdanovich’s upcoming comedy Squirrels to the Nuts.

“21 Jump Street” star Brie Larson, Owen Wilson and Olivia Wilde are attached to star in Peter Bogdanovich’s quirky indie comedy “Squirrels to the Nuts,” which will be produced by Wes Anderson and Noah Baumbach.

Jason Schwartzman has also been courted for the project, though he is not officially involved with the package at this time. Bogdanovich wrote the script, which follows a hooker-turned-Broadway-thesp (Larson) and the recurring intersection of those two facets of her life. Wilson will play a Broadway director who pays for the young protag’s services despite being married to the star of the play. He later gives Larson’s character money to quit escorting and follow her dreams. Wilde will play a therapist whose own mother is in rehab for alcholism. UTA is packaging the project, for which producers are in the process of finding both financing and distribution in advance of a fall start.

Wilson is an Anderson mainstay, having appeared in five of the helmer’s films. Coming off an acclaimed turn in Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris,” Wilson is currently filming Matthew Weiner’s “You Are Here” before he reteams with his “Wedding Crashers” co-star Vince Vaughn for Shawn Levy’s 20th Century Fox comedy “The Internship.”
Larson and Wilde are preparing to play sisters in the indie comedy “Relanxious.” Wilde, who will soon be seen in DreamWorks’ drama “People Like Us” and CBS Films’ Sundance pickup “The Words,” has been extremely busy of late, having recently wrapped Ron Howard’s racing pic “Rush” and New Line’s comedy “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.”

The first trailer of Olivia’s upcoming movie with Bradley Cooper, Ben Barnes, Jeremy Irons, Dennis Quaid & Zoe Saldana entitled The Words was released! The movie is scheduled to be released on September 21, 2012! You can view the trailer below. Here’s what the movie is all about:

Rory Jansen, a struggling writer, aspires to be the next great literary voice. When he discovers a lost manuscript in a weathered attaché case, he realizes he possesses something extraordinary that he desperately wishes he had created. Rory decides to pass the work off as his own and finally receives the recognition he desperately craves. However, he soon learns that living with his choice will not be as easy as he thought as he faces a moral dilemma that will make him take a hard look at the man he has become. In their directorial debut, Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal have crafted a subtle tale that examines how overwhelming desire can lead to unforeseen and unwanted consequences. Bolstered by a strong cast, led by Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Irons, The Words adeptly assembles multiple narratives that reveal how one man’s lost legacy holds the life of another man captive.

As we already knew, Olivia and Liam Neeson are attached to star in Third Person. The pair have been confirmed for Paul Haggis’s film from Belgian company Corsan. Olivia will appear as a party reporter and Neeson as her lover in the film spotlighting three interconnected stories set in New York, Rome and Paris. Here’s more about the movie.

The Paris section chronicles an on/off affair between a frustrated writer and a woman – who is also in a sexual relationship with her father. In New York, a woman fights against attempted murder charges against her son in a custody case. And in Rome, an American businessman falls for an Italian woman and must help free her daughter who has been kidnapped by a local gangster. Paul Breuls is producing with Haggis and Michael Nozik. Haggis wrote the script. He’s repped by CAA, and that agency packaged the film and is handling domestic distribution.

As of now, we learned from Neeson’s interview with The Press Association that as far as he knew, his character is a writer trying to get over a tragic death and Olivia’s character is his lover, so our thought obviously leans towards the frustrated writer’s affair with the troubled woman storyline evolving in Paris, France. We also learned, however, that Olivia’s character is a party reporter based in New York according to Vulture‘s quick interview with Paul Haggis, which immediately forwards us to the story of a woman fighting against attempted murder charges against her son in a custody case. In that case scenario, we wonder, where would the party reporting and love affair with Neeson’s character fit in? Will there be two writers, one based in Paris and the other one in New York? Are the locations in the details provided by Deadline somewhat mixed up? We’ll have to wait and find out.

It’s not easy being a femme fatale in frigid weather. Just ask Olivia Wilde. Turning out last night for the world premiere of her new thriller, Deadfall, at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, the actress spoke to E! News about the difficulties of filming in a miniskirt in sub-freezing temperatures and how costar Eric Bana kept her sane.

In the film, the pair play sibling fugitives Addison and Liza, who are caught up in a blizzard along the Canadian border after robbing a casino that puts them on a collision course with a troubled boxer (Charlie Hunnam) who just arrived home from prison. The role meant Wilde—who looked ravishing on the red carpet in a black Mason dress and Brian Atwood platform stilettos—had to grin and bear it for days in agonizing cold, a task made easier by the fact she had a former stand-up artist in her midst. “Eric is tough. I don’t know if you guys know that Eric Bana is a comedian,” the sexy star dished to us. “That’s who you want on set when it’s 40 below. You want a comedian next to you. And that was great. It helped me get through every scene. He’s just absolutely a joy to be around and that was wonderful.”
